DEMONSTRATION

(NYC-WDC) 1967- 1971

Between 1967 and 1971, Claude Guillaumin immersed himself into New York and Washington's important demonstrations. While May 68 is awaiting Paris around the corner, he immortalize, on the other side of the ocean, historical moments and demands such as:

-The Women's March: for the rights of equality between women and men and abortion rights

- The Black Panther’s March : fighting racism

-The March for Peace: against War of Vietnam (among other things)

-The 1st Gay Pride: fighting against homophobia

These records are 50 years old and it's sad to admit that in 2016, these events don't bring anything new to the floor, people still go out on the streets to protest for same rights and fight for the same causes. Nothing really changed.
